Annual bursary to a grade 12 student graduating from Unity Composite High School and going to post-secondary education. Criteria for selection is based on the most needy qualifying student.

• Grade 12 student with an interest in furthering his/her education in the medical or mission fields.

• exemplifies 3 beliefs – respect, responsibility, choose to learn 
• follows attendance policy; exemplifies citizenship
• attending post-secondary within two years of graduation

• Unity Credit Union will provide two (2) $2,000 scholarships to two (2) graduating students of UCHS on an annual basis.
• One scholarship will be provided to the student attaining the highest academic standing based on the proficiency requirements of UCHS and entering a degree program through a university. 
• One scholarship will be provided to the student attaining the highest academic standing based on the proficiency requirements of UCHS and entering a diploma program through a technical institution. 
• Students will apply for these scholarships using the scholarship form developed by UCHS.  This gives the school the information they require to determine the winners. 
• UCHS will determine the winners based on the proficiency criteria utilized by school.
• In order to receive the funds, the student must present the letter from the grad ceremonies, have successfully completed their first term and paid their tuition for the second term.
• The funds will be held for payout until September 30 of the year following the year of presentation (ex.  A scholarship awarded in June 2020 has until September 30, 2021 to claim the award) or it will be forfeited.  This extended time frame allows the winning student time before entering post-secondary education and still be able to utilize the funds.

Direct descendant of veteran or RCMP (i.e. grandsons, granddaughters, sons or daughters) who is attending UCHS and plan to attend a Canadian University, accredited Business College or other approved by the committee.  Beside your name, please indicate the name of the veteran, their service number, and your relationship to him/her.  Applicants must be enrolling in a post-secondary institution in the fall.  Tuition receipts must be forwarded to the Legion before scholarship funds are received.

A graduate of UCHS, who is 

1. Entering a recognized post-secondary institution, as a full-time student. The applicant must be Catholic, and registered at a Catholic parish, which shall be named in the application.  Preference will be given to the student with a descendant that was/is a CWL member. 

Only after criterion 1 is met, will the following be considered.

1. Volunteerism in the parish and community will be considered an asset.  Quality of the application and involvement in extra-curricular activities is also considered an asset.

Scholarship will be awarded to a grade 12 student graduating from Unity Composite High School and pursuing a trade or technical skill/education. Criteria for selection is based on a strong work ethic, community minded, volunteerism, and a willingness to help others.  This student may be a “behind the scenes” volunteer.  The student must have plans to pursue education within 2 years. 

Proof of enrollment is required.
